I think either way the dessert has lots of thick flavors that would could be adapted to any look you want! If you adapt it send me pictures and I will post em'. I wonder if you could also do the layers on one ice cream sandwich - essentially plating it before freezing? Then no cutting needed, and they'd look kind of like ice cream petit fours.
